Michael Berkley brings over a decade of leadership in software
design, multimedia development, and e-learning systems architecture
to QMIND.
Previous to launching QMIND, Mr. Berkley was a founding member
of Kaiser Permanente's national e-learning development department.
Under his technical direction, the department quickly grew
to $2MM in revenue in its first year from e-learning development
services to internal Kaiser Permanente departments. Mr. Berkley
designed Kaiser Permanente's web-based training architecture
currently in use by over 150,000 employees. Mr. Berkley also
built the company's first standards-compliant Learning Management
System to manage and track e-learning courseware.
Prior to Kaiser Permanente, Mr. Berkley was director of web
application development for Solagent, an on demand security
application provider, and owned a multimedia development agency.
Mr. Berkley holds a BA from Middlebury College.
Norm Galvin brings to QMIND over 30 years of both Executive
Management and Direct Sales with the unique qualifications
of having managed Dealer, Government, and Commercial sales
organizations. Mr. Galvin has an extensive background with
technology companies and has managed several software sales
organizations. His background includes VP of Worldwide Sales
for ABC Technologies, President and C.O.O. of Software Support
Services Inc., and Major Account Manager for EDS while at
Tandem Computers. Through his career, Mr. Galvin has formulated
unique sales training courses for such companies as Raytheon.
He has developed compensation plans for Executives, Sales
Managers, and Sales Representatives and has been instrumental
in formulating a variety of written policies and procedures.
Mr. Galvin currently serves on the board of directors of InsightsNow,
an Oregon-based company specializing in Sensory Research,
Analysis, and Consumer Testing.
Doug Pollack brings over 20 years of experience in marketing,
business development, products & general management in
the technology industry to QMIND. Mr. Pollack most recently
was SVP of marketing and business development at Digimarc,
a $100MM publicly traded technology company. Prior to Digimarc
he held executive management positions at two startup software
companies that resulted in successful liquidity events, as
well as at 3Com Corporation and Apple Computer during his
many years in Silicon Valley.
Mr. Pollack holds a BSEE from Cornell University and an MBA
from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Kim Ramage brings over a decade in corporate training and
project management of multimillion dollar e-learning projects.
Ms. Ramage's expertise in instructional design and project
management processes has afforded her participation in many
facets of the corporate training arena from individual coaching
to management of national scale e-learning implementations.
Ms. Ramage was a founding member of Kaiser Permanente's national
e-learning development team. As Content Program Manager for
the department, she was responsible for working directly with
clients and subject matter experts nationwide and has managed
teams of instructional designers and content developers. As
central liaison among clients, authors, instructional designers
and software developers, Ms. Ramage worked closely with the
Technical Manager to identify and design systems that were
key in cutting development costs by more than 40% in year
one of the national e-learning development team's operation.
Brock Henderson has been developing e-learning courseware
and Internet applications for almost a decade, striving to
create the richest user experiences possible. Mr. Henderson
entered the e-learning space as Lead Developer with Cenquest,
a Portland, Oregon startup specializing in delivering online
MBA courses through partnerships with several prestigious
business graduate schools. At Cenquest, Mr. Henderson transformed
the content authoring process from an antiquated Microsoft
Word methodology to a dynamic XML-driven framework that integrated
seamlessly into content delivery. Mr. Henderson went on to
work for KC Distance Learning (a subsidiary of KinderCare),
developing a highly interactive assessment application used
to deliver online courseware to the K-12 market. Subsequently,
Mr. Henderson joined Michael Berkley and Kim Ramage at Kaiser
Permanente, developing highly interactive e-learning courseware
and web-based applications.
Mr. Henderson received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a concentration
in multimedia, from the University of New Mexico.
